Improving Child Education and Status in India - Savedaughters

In terms of population, India is in 2nd place, with children accounting for over one-third of the population. Since children are the country's future, education is critical for all nations. India's present educational system is divided into three sections: elementary/primary, secondary, and higher education. Children are often enrolled in school at a young age and progress to a higher level each year. Children acquire a great deal of theoretical and practical knowledge through reasoning and tactics.

The country has reached a point in its economic and technological growth when a concerted effort is required to get the most out of the assets currently in place and to guarantee that the benefits of change reach all parts of society, and education is the key to achieving that aim.

If implemented in a deliberate and consistent manner over at least a five-year period, the following measures can improve Indian child education:

Bring the issue visibly

Regular evaluations are required to track learning progress and make present levels evident in a form that is generally understood. India should take part in international assessments on a regular basis, such as the Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study and the Programme for International Student Assessment, to establish targets and measure its performance and growth.

Build institutional and systemic capability

Today's main issue in education is a serious capacity deficit. Take a look at two programs: the Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) and the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) (TET). Few would deny that these projects are founded on strong concepts and sound ideas.

Invest in technology for education

There is a need to explore and develop methods to leverage technology to promote the change we seek, which goes hand in hand with educational research, which is implicit in all of the projects listed above. Instead of focusing on technology, the focus should be on building new, high-quality content, such as intelligent teaching methods and tools that will assist children to improve basic abilities like reading and mathematics, as well as providing content in numerous Indian languages.

Public education initiatives should be used to change people's opinions

Parents should be made aware of what defines a good school, the importance of education beyond marks, and current teachers should be made aware that any kid can learn well if encouraged, etc., through public education campaigns.

Maintained infrastructure

It is not enough to have a decent school building with many classrooms; it must be maintained such that children feel it to be a welcoming atmosphere where they look forward to learning every day.
